STAFFORD — The inaugural Christian Music Festival will be held Saturday, June 17, from noon to 5 p.m. in Hyde Park, off Tolland Avenue, in the Stafford Springs section of town.
The festival will include a Make A Wish Foundation walk at 1 p.m., children’s activities from 2-4 p.m., a prayer tent, and live Christian rock, blues, contemporary praise, and worship music performed by five musical groups.
The event is free, and free parking will be available in various lots throughout downtown Stafford Springs.
The featured musucal act will be Blue Cat Groove, a talented and well-known regional Christian rock and blues trio from Central Massachusetts. The band will be performing on the oudoor main stage at about 2:45 p.m.
Wildfire, the praise band from South United Methodist Church in Manchester, will kick off the music on the main stage at 12:15 p.m.
Next up will be Hope Springs, the worship team at Hope Springs Church in Stafford Springs, at 1:05.
